Mae Sot is a town located in the Tak Province of Thailand, near the border with Myanmar. Due to political and economic instability, many refugees from Myanmar have fled to Mae Sot and surrounding areas seeking safety and better living conditions. These refugees, many of whom are ethnic minorities, often face significant challenges, including poverty, limited access to education, and restricted access to healthcare and basic services.
In addition to refugees, Mae Sot is also home to a large number of migrant workers from Myanmar who come to Thailand in search of work opportunities. These workers are often employed in low-paying jobs in industries such as agriculture, construction, and manufacturing.
As a result of these circumstances, poverty is a significant issue in the Mae Sot area. Many families struggle to make ends meet, and children are often forced to drop out of school to help support their families.
Our church is committed to helping those in need, especially refugees and migrant workers fleeing from the Myanmar border. Due to political and economic instability, many people have been forced to leave their homes and seek safety in the Mae Sot region of Thailand, searching for better living conditions. However, these refugees and migrant workers face many challenges, such as poverty, limited access to education, and difficulty in accessing healthcare and basic services.
Therefore, our church has decided to take action by teaching basic Thai, English, Chinese, and computer courses to help these individuals improve their skills and future development prospects. We believe that these courses can provide them with practical skills and create more job opportunities for them.
Although we have been making efforts to help these people, we still need support from people around the world. We hope that more people will join us in providing help and support to those in need. This can be achieved in many ways, including donations, volunteer services, and raising awareness about the challenges faced by these refugees and migrant workers. We believe that with our collective efforts, we can create a better future for these individuals.
